WHO WE ARE

Pastor Steven and Taina Velez have been married for thirteen years and have two wonderful boys; Elijah and Josiah. In 2010, the Velez family began to actively pursue the call of God on their lives. They were tired of just attending church. They became leaders of a married life group and children’s home leader. In 2013, through guidance and leading of the Holy Spirit the Velez family relocated to Springfield, MO where they focused their full attention in serving their local church and began to inquire about mission’s ministry.

While living and serving in Springfield, MO, through some unfortunate life circumstances, Taina had to travel back to her hometown of St. Croix USVI. While visiting the island the Lord placed an immense burden and passion for the people of St. Croix. Steven and Taina began praying and asking for guidance from their local church, friends, and pastor. As they shared their heart and burden the Lord began to cast a vision and mission for the people of St. Croix. Since then, they have relocated to St. Croix and are actively reaching the people of St. Croix. The Velez family is planting a life giving church and a hope center for the youth of St. Croix. They are passionate about “reaching the one who is far from God and help them become a passionate follower of Jesus.”
